  IGP Asia-Pacific
International Employee Benefits Seminar
Conrad Hotel Hong Kong
September 25, 2008

IGP and its Network Partners from the Asia-Pacific region were pleased to welcome over 100 attendees to the 2008 IGP Asia-Pacific Seminar, which was held at the beautiful Conrad Hotel in Hong Kong.

The Seminar was coordinated by IGP’s regional office in Singapore and co-hosted by our Network Partner in Hong Kong, AXA China Region. Wilsome Chow, Assistant General Manager of AXA China Region, officially opened the event, and Peter de Vries, Head of the IGP Network, welcomed the participants.

Following the opening presentations, IGP Network Partners conducted country panel sessions covering the social security and customary private employee benefits practice in their respective countries. These sessions provided both the newcomer to the field of international employee benefits and the more seasoned professional with valuable information on the changes, trends and legislation affecting social security and private benefits in the countries of their choice.

Informal meetings during coffee breaks and lunch provided additional opportunities for attendees to ask specific questions of the IGP Network Partners as well as to exchange information and discuss experiences with fellow participants.

The Seminar closed with a Special Interest Session on Pension Solutions in China, a very timely and important topic due to the recent developments in the Chinese pension system.

The next IGP Asia-Pacific Seminar will be held in 2010. Please check back with us in the future for more information.
